| Description | A Japanese bank has endorsed two loans valued $ 165 million to back two solar & wind energy recovery stations. The first loan, valued $ 90 million, is allocated to part finance a unique solar/ thermal power station, which was further endorsed $ 50 million funding from the World Environment Fund. The second loan, valued $ 75 million, is allocated to back phase 4 of Al Zaafarana wind energy recovery station on the Red Sea to add 120 MW capacity thereto for completion by mid 2007. Both loans are for repayment over 40 years, including 10 years grace, and bear a 0.75 % annual interest. Worth indicating is that phase 3 of Al Zaafarana wind recovery station to add 85 MW capacity thereto is now going under Spanish funding. |
