Contract signed between the Social Fund for Development & Cargas Co. to finance the conversion of a wide variety of vehicles to operate with natural gas. According to Eng. Sameh Fahmy, Egypt Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Wealth, plans are drawn for the construction of not less than 20 natural gas fuelling stations countrywide and increase the number of vehicles operated by natural gas by 5,000 units each year. Earlier media reports indicated that so far more than 50,000 vehicles were converted to operate with natural gas. Above indicated contract with the Social Fund for Development targets taxi vehicles, other passenger vehicles, mini & microbuses. |
