Al Kharafi Group of Kuwait has announced plans to pump further $ 2 billion investments in Egypt in 2005. Group representative in Egypt, Mr. Ibrahim Saleh, was quoted in the media indicating the development would increase the Group total investments in Egypt to $ 5 billion. He revealed that the Group is now evaluating 6 – 7 mega projects in fields related to industry, housing and telecommunication apart from tangible investments in the Group projects in Marsa Alam and Port Abu Ghaleb Marina on the Red Sea. Week earlier the Group expressed interest to buy a majority share of EFC – Egyptian Fertilizers Company. |
