Description |
L.E. 633 million contract awarded for the gas turbines pertaining to Al Kuriemat 750 MW power station extensions. That would increase the station capacity from 1,300 MW at present to 2.050 MW in 2007 to become the largest power station in Egypt. Contract is backed by credits from the European Investment Bank the OPEC Fund. winner of the job is Siemens of Germany. Project provides for the supply of two gas turbines of 250 MW capacity each required for Kuriemat power station. Project is scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2007. Contract includes relevant electromechanical works. |
