A consortium lead by Alstom of France was declared winner of the equivalent of L.E. 302 million contract for the design, manufacturing, supply & erection of the steam turbine and ancillary equipment, also of environment control instruments for Talkha 750 MW combined cycle power station. Consortium included also Kahromica Co. Client is EDEPC – East Delta Electricity Production Co. Total estimated project costs are put at L.E. 1,921 million. Its foreign currency component is financed by AFESD – Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development, KFESD – Kuwaiti Fund for Economic & Social Development and EIB – European Investment Bank. |
