Sidr Sinai Co. for Land Reclamation SAE was recently established in Southern Sinai to involve with olives plantation & the recovery of raw olive oil. Chairman of the company, Eng. Medhat Mustafa, said that works have started on the construction of the olive press. The executive has further indicated that his company intends, in the first stage, to export raw olive oil with olive oil refining planned at a later stage. Project is backed by 5,000 feddans reclaimed land apart from further 5,000 feddans under reclamation. Eng. Mustafa revealed that Egypt annual olive oil exports are now limited to 3,000 tons & that could be increased to exceed 50,000 tons. |
