Egypt Air Holding has endorsed a $ 850 million order for 12 Boeing 737 - 800 aeroplanes, 159 passengers capacity each, to consolidate its fleet. A company press release indicated this is the largest single deal ever concluded by Egypt Air since established. Delivery would be effected as of mid 2006 & thereafter. The Deal, according to the release, has witnessed tough competition with Air Bus Co. Deal also included the procurement of a simulator to train pilots on the Boeing 737 models valued $ 12 million. No mention was given to financing. |
