While addressing the Shoura Council Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif announced that foreign investments in Egypt during the period July 04/ March 05 have increased to $ 1 billion. Figure compares with $ 408 million for the same period of the previous fiscal year. The official has also revealed that inflation rate in March 05 have tangibly declined to 4.5 % down from 14.1 % reached in July 04. He added that economic growth during the third quarter of FY 2004/ 2005 (January/ March 05) reached 5.2 % and is targeted to hit the 6 % level during FY 2005/ 2006. |
