A memorandum of understanding was recently signed by Dr. Eng. Essam Sharaf, Egypt Minister of Transport, and Mr. Nasser Al Kharafi, Chairman of Al Kharafi Group of Kuwait to form a joint venture with entities of the Ministry. It would be capitalized at L.E. 5 billion & would involve with traction, roads & ports projects in Egypt. Included is a railway line to link Marsa Alam with Asswan City & another railway line to link Alexandria Port with the Pyramids area in Giza.
