According to Chemist Adel Al Danaf, Chairman & CEO of Helwan Fertilizers Co. SAE, also Chairman of MIHC – Metallic Industries Holding Co., works are progressing on the fertilizers factory executed by Ude Co. of Germany under $ 332 million contract. He indicated that the company was established under the private free zones system of the investment law. It is capitalized at $ 150 million & will dispose on an annual design capacity of 635,000 tons of azottic fertilizers. Chemist Al Danaf has further revealed that the company has arranged a $ 202 million loan from commercial banks to part finance the project. He further indicated that a contract was signed with Town Gas Co. to supply the project with natural gas & that 50 % of the project output is allocated for export abroad. Project is scheduled for completion by May 2007. |
