According to Dr. Eng. Hassan Younis, Egypt Minister of Electricity & Energy, KFESD – Kuwaiti Fund for Economic & Social Development has (finally) endorsed $ 100 million soft loan to part finance Cairo West 750 MW power station project. The Minister has also announced that Kuwait based AFESD – Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development, has also agreed in principle to extend another $ 100 million soft loan for the same project. Total estimated project costs are put at L.E. 1.79 billion. Project is part of Egypt Emergency Energy Plan till 2007. |
