National Telecom has inaugurated phase 1 of its smart cards project in Sixth of October City involving L.E. 20 million investments. Both Dr. Eng. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communication & IT and Dr. Ahmed Darwish, Minister of State for Management Development have attended the event. According to Dr. Hussein Al Kholi, Chairman of the company, the project disposes on a design capacity to produce 4 million cards per month. The executive announced that smart cards market in Egypt is now estimated at $ 20 million & that annual sales of those cards exceeded $ 30 million more than 50 % of which for export. |
