Natural gas based central air conditioning, refrigeration & humidity control seems gaining more aground in Egypt. The development started with the introduction of the technology for the air conditioning of the Ministry of Petroleum Complex in Cairo. It was followed by another similar but larger project executed (By Nile Aster Egypt) at the Smart Village. Recently, a third similar pilot project was completed at the L.E. 2 billion + relocation scheme of the Eastern Co. (for Tobacco & Cigarettes) in Sixth October City. The later was executed under support from the Hitachi & Mitsubishi modern power solutions. Days earlier, Deputy Chairman of the long established Golden Tex Group, has announced, during a visit of President Moubarak to its factories in Tenth of Ramadan City, that similar technology has been used for air conditioning, ventilation & humidification of its huge factories. Observers believe the cake for such application is huge particularly considering the potential in Egypt industry and hotels sector, not to overview the country underground traction industry, ports, airports & luxurious private universities. |
