Petrojet Co., of Egypt Petroleum Sector, was declared winner of two contracts in Sudan & Yemen worth $ 23 million. The first job, worth $ 10 million, won in joint venture with the national Ram Energy Co., provides for the construction of a 16 inch diameter, 100 Km long petroleum pipeline to pump daily 20,000 barrels of crude, to be increased later to 40,000 barrels. The pipeline, scheduled for completion in 12 months, starts from a location identified as Neem Zone, 760 KM to the south west of Al Khartoum & connects with another main oil export pipeline at Defra Zone. Client is Al Nil Al Aazam Petroleum Co. As to the second job, worth Euro 13 million, won in joint venture with the national Kahlan Co., so it provides for the construction of the potable water-feeding network to serve the western part of Taezz City & the sanitary drainage network serving the eastern part of the same city. Both networks are made of galvanized steel, high-density polyethylene & ductile cast iron. |
