BG Group & its partners, owners of Edkou natural gas liquefication project have announced the production start at the second production line, 9 months a head from scheduled completion date. Development means tangible profits to the owners, grouping also Petronas of Malaysia, E-Gas & EGPC. It also reflects a certain strength & accumulated experience in hosting mega petrochemicals projects in the country involving pretty sophisticated technologies & requiring high end logistics. The $ 1 billion plus new line has an annual design capacity of 3.6 million tons of liquefied gas, all sold in advance to BG Gas Marketing Co. for the next 20 years. |
