MOPCO – Misr Oil Processing Co. SAE has invited original shareholders for the subscription in capital increase shares worth L.E. 342.8 million. (34,275,298 shares at L.E. 10.0 each). Issue was needed to increase the company issued capital from L.E. 677.2 million to L.E. 1,020 million. The announced justification is to consolidate the company finance structure & enabling the company execute its projects in Damietta & Suez. Subscription need be effected during the period 10/20/2005 to 11/20/2005 at NBE – National Bank of Egypt & its branches network. Meanwhile the company has announced that a contract, concluded earlier with Krupp/ Uhda German Group (as main contractor) for the Company (nitrogen) fertilizers project at Damietta Public Free Zone Complex has entered in force. It has further announced that it is now taking measures to expedite implementing other projects (unspecified) in Suez Governorate. The company was established few years ago under the investment law to involve with the refining & processing of petroleum products & that was later extended to tolerate involving with the processing of natural gas and production of (nitrogen) fertilizers (after failing to arrange finance for its original purpose).
