Media reports have revealed that some $ 910 million new Saudi, UAE & Kuwaiti investments seem eyeing promising opportunities in Egypt nitrogen fertilizers industry. That includes $ 450 million [ third ] expansion of EFC – Egyptian Fertilizers Co. SAE, sold recently to an Arab/ Egyptian Group. It further includes another $ 640 million + new project, also to produce ammonia nitrate (750,000 ton/ year) under Saudi, Kuwaiti & UAE investments. That was announced by Eng. Adel Al Mozi, head of CIHC – Chemical Industries Holding Co. indicating that further investments in that industry are expected from India & Kuwait. |
