A plan, prepared by the Ministry of Petroleum & announced recently, provides for increasing the number of natural gas operated vehicles over the next 5 years to 100,000 up from 63,000 at present. Announcement came on the occasion of signing of L.E. 170 million agreement between Car Gas Co. & Alexandria Public Transport Authority to build & operate natural gas fuelling stations in the City and at all Authority garages to support its efforts to convert its fleet to operate with natural gas. At present Egypt disposes on 95 natural gas fuelling stations spread in 14 Governorates. |
