| Description | The Government of Egypt has received a grant from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) in the amount of US $ 247,000 toward the cost of establishing an Egyptian Institute of Directors. The Ministry of Investment intends to apply the grant for consultancy services. Services include: (I) providing technical assistance to develop a training curriculum (in Arabic) adapted for the Egyptian corporate needs, including the preparation of courses and materials, and accrediting the curriculum: (ii) providing technical assistance to prepare a business plan for the Institute, including development of the organizational structure, mission statement, financial sustainability and budget, (iii) Training trainers who will deliver the curriculum. The consulting firm (or consortium) should include internationally recognized experts in the provision of director training, training for trainers, and dissemination in corporate governance for board members & other interested parties. In addition, they should have previous experience in operating and managing an Institute of Directors or similar organization or activities with the purpose to promote world-class professional standards for board and directors conduct. Furthermore, the consulting firm should be able to certify and accredit the developed curriculum. The Project Co-ordination Unit of the Egyptian Institute of Directors Project now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants may submit expressions of interest for the above services; however, they must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among their staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank guidelines.
