| Description | Minister of State for International Cooperation, Mrs. Fayza Abul Naga said several projects, now being studied, are well placed to get Japanese funding (obviously in Yen). They include the revamping of Borg El Arab airport, a solar / thermal power station project in Al Kureimat and a so-called industrial pollution control project. Mrs. Abul Naga has recently met with Japanese Ambassador to Egypt & discussed with him the forthcoming economic assistance. Japanese grants to Egypt during 2003 increased to $ 62 million, up from $ 24 million in 2001. |
