| Description | Media reports indicated that Egypt Minister of Supply & Home Trade, Dr. Hassan Khedr, would soon meet the board of directors of the Holding Co. for Silos & Warehousing to review executive measures to build 5 new silos under readily available funding from the National Investment Bank, also follow up implementation status of other 2 silos in Al Houseiniya, in Sharkeyya Governorate and in Kasr Al Bawasel, in Fayyoum Governorate. Meanwhile, Dr. Khedr was quoted in the media indicating that tender documents, specs and other formalities are being completed for other 4 silos in Giza, Beheira & Dakahliya, going under $ 10 million soft loan from OPEC Fund. Development is part of a national scheme to build 50 silos, of 30,000 tons capacity each, countrywide, involving L.E. 1.5 billion investments to put an end for up to L.E. 100 million worth of wheat wasted annually during handling & storage. Dr. Khedr has further revealed that the Armed Forces would build 20 of those silos. |
