| Description | Egypt Minister of Tourism has announced that 6,104,000 tourists have visited Egypt during the first 9 months of 2004, exceeding their level during 2003 full year. On top of the list was Italy, with 825,000 tourists followed by Germany with 723,000. Arab tourists during the period reached 1,132,000. Meanwhile an almost half page full reportage explored the reasons for a smaller number of French tourists who have visited Egypt during that period (300,000 only) inspite of the Egypt-mania case spreading among French people. It concluded the main obstacle hindering to double or triple that number lies in the lack of chartered airlines companies in France. [To which extent Egypt Air would contribute to solve the problem by offering chartered flights from Paris to different destinations in Egypt that remains to be seen]. |
